Self Evaluation

I really learn a lot through out this course  I gotten a greater appreciation for the process of planning and storyboarding an animation. I feel I have improve a lot over this semester and can still learn more when it comes to character animation. the areas I have improved a lot is modeling the modeling aspect of this project though I can still use some work on texture mapping but I feel that I will be a better animator as time goes on.

A scene that displays great acting and emotion...

Example of a scene that displays great acting and emotion (How to Train Your Dragon)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzxeKHA_jOw&feature=related

I like the camera angles used in the movie. What I really like the most in this scene overall is the build up that leads to the beginning of Hiccup's and Toothless's friendship. I liked when Hiccup, with his head down and away from Toothless, held his hand up to Toothless and Toothless and hesitates for a second be for putting his nose in Hiccup's hand. Lighting of that particular scene makes it almost magical like it's a way to to reinforce that that something important and life changing has just happened.

-a continuous  or connected whole.
-a motion-picture scenario giving the complete action, scenes, etc., in detail and in the order in which they are to be shown on the screen.
-the spoken part of a radio or television script that serves as introductory or transitional material on a nondramatic program.

Composition:
-the act of combining parts or elements to form a whole.
-the resulting state or product.

Mise-en-scene:
-the process of setting a stage, with regard to placement of actors, scenery, properties, etc.
-the stage setting or scenery of a play.
-surroundings; environment.

Example if use of camera angles: (How to Train Your Dragon)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzxeKHA_jOw&feature=related

I like how the cameras:
-show the show and lay out the scene.
-use half body shots to that shows that something important is happening but doesn't zoom the characters'  faces when said characters are expressing themselves. It keeps true to the serious but light theme feel of the movie.
-like how the camera positions the hiccup at the side of screen and toothless more towards the middle  of the screen to put the focus on him when he is introduce.
